What's New in International Services

NCI, is partnering with International Channel Networks (ICN), to provide closed captioning, translations and subtitling for various programming airing on the International Channel. ICN brings the best TV from around the globe to homes in America through its ad-supported International Channel and 21 Pay TV channels, offering specific in-language programming from international sources. Translations and English subtitles will be provided by NCI for programming produced in other languages. The languages include Korean, Tagalog, Japanese, Vietnamese and Mandarin Chinese. In addition, four original shows will be captioned for the International Channel.

Egg West Coast is a video magazine program that explorers the living experience of Korean Americans on the West Coast. Compelling stories, investigative pieces and witty entertainers bring to life what it means to be a Korean American on the pacific side of the hemisphere.

XBytes features behind-the scenes glimpses of the most hi-tech locations in the country and details the newest hand-held devices and micro-technologies hailing from the Asian continent. The show will also showcase how hard or easy it is for people 50 and over to integrate new technology into everyday life.

Stir is a fresh new ground breaking show that is for and about the everyday Asian American. This magazine style program explores the trends, styles and personalities that shape one of America’s most dynamic young communities.

Lastly, Asia Street Comedy takes a look at live stand up Far East style, featuring a different ensemble of Asian American actors and guest comedians each episode. Be prepared to laugh as this first-of-a-kind program highlights the talents of Asian American comedians as a group.
