Video Translation and Subtitling

NCI can provide translation and subtitling services for all types of prerecorded videos regardless of whether captioning is provided or not. If video programming is being captioned, it also can easily be subtitled in English or just about any other language. Because caption timing and English scripts are completed during the captioning process, NCI can efficiently subtitle your program for international release. NCI offers the highest quality translations in over 40 languages and dialects. Frame accurate subtitles can be created in NTSC and PAL formats. (See DVD page for list of languages.)

PAL Closed Captions for Prerecorded Programs

NCI, which developed and introduced this technology in the UK, can produce PAL captions. Once again, the already created English caption file makes PAL captioning easy, efficient and cost effective.

File Conversions from NTSC to Teletext EBU

NCI can easily convert English closed caption files to teletext EBU. With minimum editing, captions are presented in an upper and lower case, proportional font with British spellings.

Real-time Captions Conversion

NCI's conversion program instantaneously converts NTSC real-time captions to teletext EBU for worldwide broadcasts including sports events and award programs.

Real-time Captioning Training

NCI, the developer of real-time captioning, trains court reporters to instantaneously caption live programs. NCI has trained many real-time staff members at the BBC.
