Interactive TV Links

NCI can easily link your program to your web site by inserting Interactive TV Links at the same time that the program is being captioned. With TV links, WebTV viewers can receive Internet content to complement their TV viewing. Viewers get more program and/or product information. Program producers get immediate response from viewers.

While the program airs, an icon appears at the top of the screen. With a WebTV keyboard or remote control, the viewer clicks the icon and receives the designated Web page. The viewer watches the program and reads the Web page simultaneously on a picture-in-picture TV screen.

With Interactive TV links, you can take orders, conduct opinion polls or provide viewers with more information on the program or your product.

Interactive TV Links work on WebTV Plus Internet Receivers as well as WebTV for Windows. For more information on Interactive TV Links, visit WebTV at http://developer.webtv.net.

Just supply NCI with the following:

• Specific time code for each link.
• The URL Web site address (Example: http://www.ncicap.org).

• The network or sponsor name of the generated Interactive Link. (Optional but recommended.) (Example: http://www.ncicap.org/marketing)
• Phrase or name to entice the reader to the Web Site (up to 32 characters). (Example: http://www.ncicap.org/marketing/free gift!)
• Program's master tape.
• 3/4" U-matic or BetaSP cassette copy with time code matched to the master. See Work Tape Specifications for details.
