Sales Engineer

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to support the sale of NCI’s captioning services to major industry segments and customers, with a particular focus on the sale of NCI’s Live Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) service CaptionSentry. The Sales Engineer will drive business growth by understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions, and effectively articulating the value of NCI’s products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (include, but not limited to):

· Analyze customer needs, pain points, and business challenges to create customized sales proposals with the sales team

· Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations that highlight solution benefits and address technical questions

· Collaborate with the sales team to identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities

· Provide technical support during pre-sales activities, including answering inquiries and participating in client meetings

· Develop technical content for and detailed responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other client documentation.

· Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical requirements and support the successful implementation of solutions

· Represent NCI at trade shows, media industry conventions, conferences, and client events to promote NCI’s products and services and strengthen brand visibility

· Stay informed on emerging trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings

· Perform related duties which may require out-of-town travel, weekend, and evening activities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Routinely uses standard office equipment: computer and telephone

· Ability to occasionally lift/carry company displays and marketing materials for conferences, up to 20 pounds

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years as a sales engineer or in a similar technical customer-facing role. Strong technical foundation and ability to quickly grasp and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Exceptional interpersonal and oral and written communication skills required. Proven ability to develop and deliver sales presentations and technical demonstrations required. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must be a self-motivated, goal-oriented, results-driven individual who has demonstrated ability to contribute to successful sales outcomes. Must be willing to travel. Knowledge of captioning and interest in media access desired. Familiarity with ASR preferred.

SALARY & COMPENSATION

Salary range $75,000 -$85,000 plus participation in Sales Incentive Bonus Plan, which rewards the acquisition of new, continuing business.
